My son-in-law is a manager of 3 water systems feeding communities in California. He has publications from the EPA about having to filter out microplastics in the PPB range. Your filters are not catching it.

Here’s some important reading for you.
I know what you mean…true, very small microplastics will get through. But I don’t think anyone is saying to grind that puck to a paste. It’s fair to say any typical sediment filter you use is catching any particles. No one’s out there with fish nets making RSO, trying to strain out plant material I’d even bet a coffee filter is good enough to catch any plastic particles. Again…no one is saying to grind it to a paste.
